It’s “Easy” to Find “Common Ground”

It’s that time of year again! Tradeshow season is upon us—a time to renew, refresh, and reinspire people to create more spaces where we can come together and play!

Our first stop? The National Parks & Recreation Association’s Annual Conference in New Orleans, September 26-28. This year’s conference is jam-packed with more than 200 educational sessions, 500 speakers, and even more exhibitors! If you haven’t already, check out the preliminary program highlights here. In addition to giving you “easy” access to networking opportunities and the latest trends in the park industry, it looks like there will be a lot of great sessions on how to get people outside and moving again—a mission we support wholeheartedly!

We’re also really excited to check out the Parks Build Community project, which features a fitness park by one of PlayPower’s partners: FitLot! We can’t wait to experience it all in The Big Easy (and maybe eat a few beignets for good luck).

Then, from October 20-23, we’ll be at the American Society of Landscape Architect’s Annual EXPO in Los Angeles! This year’s theme is “Common Ground”: the places people congregate and the ideas/visions we share. There will be more than 122 educational sessions on a wide variety of topics and nearly 350 exhibitors displaying new products and services!

Come See Us!

We’ll be at both exhibitions showing off the latest additions to our NU-edge® play system offering—climbing components that make it “easy” to find “common ground” between nature-inspired play and modern, urban design! With a postmodern/DIY-inspired feel, these pieces beckon kids to jump into a world of discovery, imagination, and adventure.

  • Clubhouse—This secret headquarters breaks free from post-and-platform to provide dynamic rope climbing and imaginative play, with a mix of materials and an integrated scavenger hunt game!
  • Rope Scramble—These asymmetric cords give your play structure an edgy look, while providing a non-linear climbing path that challenges kids.
  • Double Wall Climber—Two faux wood clad walls add a rustic appearance and allow kids to climb up one side like a ladder or use both to test their strength and shimmy up.
  • Trail Climber—This unique climber looks like it was taken right out of the forest! With pretend directional signs, Trail Climber adds natural whimsy to your play space.
  • Culvert Climber—Looking for more of the urban edge? These corrugated metal culvert pod steps can be used as independent activities or to access a deck!

If you’re not familiar with the NU-edge line, you can learn more about it here.
